Don’t you think you deserve to know what’s the story behind the wine you’re drinking? Curious to see what our Wine Club members receive with our selection?

Read what we wrote about @trediberri winery in our May shipment:

Three friends go to the Berri forest and start a winery. It sounds like the catchphrase of a dad’s joke, but that’s actually how it happened. Berri is a small hamlet in the westernmost part of La Morra, located in the Langhe hills of Piemonte, close to the Tanaro river. It lies at the extreme western edge of the Barolo region. Here, in 2007, Nicola, his father Federico and their friend Vladimiro, acquired 5 hectares (12.5 acres) exclusively for the production of Barolo. “A young, artisanal family winery. We have no ancestral coat of arms depicting rampant horses and fluttering ensigns. We have no history and that is fine by us: we like talking about the present, through our wines”. That’s what Nicola likes to point out during our introduction, he’s a young guy full of energy and with that genius spark in his eye. They may not have a coat of arms, but they definitely inherited a great deal of knowledge from one of the greatest. Renato Ratti, one of the founding fathers of Barolo, hired Nicola’s dad, Federico, in 1970. The two worked together for over three decades.

TrediBerri’s wines are some of the best wines you can find in Piemonte, Nicola often speaks about filling up bottles so that people can drink them and finish them. You are going to find great freshness, drinkability, balanced with depth and elegance. Their labels are works of art: Pierflavio Gallina, from Santo Stefano Belbo, has become one of the most important artists of the Piemontese landscape: the fluidity and colour of his paintings are the perfect representation of their winemaking style.
