Giuseppe Mascarello

Our Giuseppe Mascarello’s Barolo SOLD OUT IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS

Why?

Well, here’s some of the reasons.

The Mascarello family have been growing wines for more than a century and a half, first as farmers running the Manescotto estate in the village of La Morra for the marchesa Giulia Colbert Faletti di Barolo, and then on their own property since the late 1800s.

Today, Mauro Mascarello is one of the last remaining giant of the great Barolo generation that included Giovanni Conterno and Bartolo Mascarello, considered today as traditionalists.

Location is also important, and we have to say that Monprivato is pretty hard to beat when it comes to Barolo vineyards: located in Castiglione Falletto, The Monprivato vineyard lies on soil originating from the Helvetian era of the Miocene it is composed of clayey-silty marl that we call Marne di Sant’Agata fossili. Together with the vineyard’s south-westerly exposure at midday, these elements provide the Barolo wine with excellent body, complexity, power and elegance.

The Monprivato cru is only bottled – with a numbered label – in outstanding and excellent vintages.

We are also big fan of their Villero which usually tends to pack a little bit more muscle.

All our wines were sold to Wine Club members in less than 24 hours. We advise you join our Club if you think your cellar needs exceptional wines like these.
