I’ve been given more and more space and responsibilities at Gary Farell since I started, the team is just like a family and I could not have made a better choice moving to this winery. Some of our most recent works include the renovation of the tasting room which is now absolutely gorgeous, the design … Read More
We flew to Las Vegas, rented a very small RV and started driving in the desert for 2 weeks without really having planned much. National parks, the Grand Canyon, a lot of road and so much nature. Our food was most of the time canned or dry, our showers very brief and rare, but sleeping … Read More
I was hired by Gary Farrell winery as Sommelier, one of the best and most renowned Pinot Noir makers in California. Very different setting compared to Castello di Amorosa, focusing on small groups and higher end clients. This is my jam! I’ve also started training the team about old world wines: Burgundy, Sancerre, Beaujolais to … Read More

The Russian River Valley is a gorgeous area in Sonoma famous for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, vines are trained differently from Piemonte, they are much more similar to the style used in Sicily. These are Zinfandel vines along westside road, one of the most beautiful drives in the area.
Nature is so different in this part of the world, everything seems so grand and powerful compared to Europe. Also, they really really go crazy for Halloween! Look at that orange field!
Today was Beaujolais, local goat cheese, a volcano and a sunset at 10000 feet. Maui is all about nature, you almost feel the inner force of the island by standing on top of this crater. What an experience! #oneonthehill#maui? #Haleakala #volcano #sunset#beaujolais #wine? #goatcheese#domainechignard
