Ladies and gentleman, here I give you Cascina Baricchi’s new creation “Alastor”(Check out our post about Cascina Baricchi if you don’t know them). A crazy blend of Pinot Noir and Dolcetto first vinified together and then added to a second blend of 100% whole cluster Pinot Noir, Nebbiolo and Barbera. The entire mass then goes through fermentation and carbonic maceration, no malo, no oak, straight to bottle in the spring.
This is THE SUMMERTIME bottle from Piemonte: serve it fridge-cold and let it warm up in the glass.
I had never tasted anything like this before, and I am pretty sure you haven’t either.
